ASP NorCal Chapter and Silicon Valley OD Network jointly present a Silicon Valley reprise of this excellent and well-received session focusing on effective strategy execution presented at the ASP Annual Conference “Bridging the Strategy Gap” in Chicago in May 2018. This is an opportunity for those in the local Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay Area region to experience this outstanding session first-hand!!!
"We have an awesome strategic plan….so why can’t our people execute?” is a common refrain heard around the world by leaders who are painfully aware of how difficult it is to execute strategies effectively in their organizations. In addition, industry research has well documented this reality, with the success needle barely moving over the past 20 years.
We believe that the answer to this conundrum can be found through the application of a new approach called the Agile Strategy Execution Framework™, an easy to understand set of principles and techniques that drives more agile strategy execution. Agile Strategy Execution happens when organizational strategic planning processes are more agile, through better organizational alignment, accountability and responsiveness.
Based on current deployment experience at Cisco Systems during this past year in the Engineering organization, and other real-world examples, this presentation will examine the power of integrating agile concepts with strategy execution best practices. An agile strategy execution maturity assessment tool, an easy-to-execute operating model and an innovative leadership performance management system will be shared and worked on in the session. Attendees will be able to take home these tools and templates to use in their companies.
Several copies of the book Agile Strategy Execution: Reinventing the HOW, co-authored by Gaye Clemson and Alan Leeds, will be awarded to attendees as well as available for sale and Gaye will personally sign all awarded and purchased books after the session.
Participants will learn a New Approach to and a new definition for “Agile Strategy Execution”. They will obtain hands-on experience with an Agile Strategy Execution Maturity (SEM) Assessment tool, an easy-to-execute ASE Framework operating model and a powerful leadership performance management system. In addition they will understand how the Strategy Execution Framework and tools have been used to measure and improve the strategy execution process in several organizations.
