Leverage Technology and Analysis to Implement a Strategic Early Warning Program

Does your leadership team want to avoid [bad] surprises and identify future opportunities? If yes, then establishing a Strategic Early Warning (SEW) program that regularly monitors emerging competitive threats, disruptive strategies, and tracks specific indicators, “weak signals”, and other external market forces that may impact your company’s current market assumptions and future-based scenarios is essential for your organization to add greater business value. An SEW program helps protect the business against upcoming, even unexpected, market and competitive developments, and alerts decision makers of critical market shifts to seize opportunities before others and/or proactive blunts or minimize threats. This will allow your company to get ahead and stay ahead of not only traditional competitors but new, emerging competitors.

By leveraging technology to automate collection of information, teams can reduce manual data gathering efforts and instead focus more time on analyzing research to understand real insights and implications to their business. Technology that can deliver daily dashboard reports and act as a central repository is essential to manage information flow and ultimately to help aid in execution of strategy.
