An African Experience in Strategy Technology Execution: A Case Study Using Digital Strategy Transformation Tools in a Leading Technology Company

Kenac is a leading ICT (Information & Communications Technology) company in Zimbabwe, Africa. To maintain their leadership in delivering high tech solutions in their market, they have adopted an integrated agile strategic planning/deployment process throughout their company.

After an initial company-wide assessment, using a strategy maturity model, they developed a phased deployment plan, led by their senior management team, focusing on measurement, deployment and real-time refinement of their PaGOTA strategic planning process.

Through this case study, we will highlight how technology is used to drive strategic decision making, and how it enables communication, on-line/real time refinement of their plan and actions, based on changing requirements of customers and Zimbabwe regulations. We will present and give to participants examples of the processes they use in their executive/dept. weekly meeting, as well as their use of individual scorecards tied to department goals.

Results to date will be shown from their 3-year journey, presenting what has worked, not worked and lessons learned to navigate change to address market conditions by creating an agile driven culture of constant change.
