Middle-out Strategy. Inclusive Short and Long Term Strategy Design and Deployment for Maximized Engagement and Agility

Not to mention looking to the long-term can  be even more daunting Join Kevin Smith of Ephektiv to hear an industry case study about how leaders can develop both short- and long-term strategies, with massive employee inclusion, and then transition to rapid implementation, organization-wide buy-in, and agile change.

Mr. Smith will present both theory and field work of what is called “Middle-out Strategy Design” performed with a client in one of today’s most disrupted and evolving industries, the Electric Utility.

Kevin Smith has over 20 years of experience in strategy development, branding, and organizational effectiveness. This knowledge  and skill set was built-in agency, corporate, entrepreneurial, and consultative environments, working across a variety of both business- to-business and business-to-consumer sectors. In industries such as technology, telecommunication, energy, health and wellness, engineering, and state government, Mr. Smith has worked with such organizations as IBM, Sun Microsystems, Ogilvy Mather, Qwest Communications, Teletech, ConEdison, Denver Public Schools, and Idaho Transportation Department.

Mr. Smith is currently co-owner and Vice President of Ephektiv, a multi-discipline business performance consultancy specialized in driving strategic performance through employee engagement.   The firm has developed and deploys proven methodologies for mature  and start-up organizations alike, needing a scalable, manageable approach to executing strategy, developing leaders, cultivating a culture of performance, and maximizing innovation and accountability – all through purposeful inclusion of diverse ideas and experience   at all levels in the organization.

In his senior leadership roles, Kevin pioneered and implemented scalable brand management systems, internal branding strategies, Social Media strategies, complex strategic messaging methodologies. As a seasoned consultant, Mr. Smith has designed and lead various large scale organizational transformations by optimizing team and business unit effectiveness, leadership capacity, and strategy deployment and execution to the front line.

Kevin attended undergraduate college at the University of Arizona where he received a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) in Film and Media Production and Marketing. Mr. Smith also has a Masters of Science in Organizational Development and Management (MSM) from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.  Mr. Smith resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife Rebecca and sons Owen and Jackson.
