Description

The proposition is that when companies all led and operated with heightened integrity, then they deliver bigger profits for the business and bigger benefits for society.

The presentation is in four parts:

  • Firstly and briefly, the changing strategic imperatives are set out which result in the shift from primacy of shareholder value to the primacy of company purpose.
  • Secondly, to deliver a company's purpose, an evidence-based core business process model is outlined; encompassing stakeholders, vision, integrity, leadership, staff and feedback.
  • The major part of the session is where the model is demonstrated by application to a multinational corporation in the downstream oil and gas sector, where the presenter was its CEO.
  • Finally, results are presented: superior profitability of 18% CAGR EBITDA for the company; and the benefits for society in terms of natural capital, social capital and human capital.
